John Rawlings
Knowledge and Skills Committee Chair
Mr. John Rawlings has served in safety over the past 17 years after retiring from the Army as an Infantry Officer. He has had the privilege of working globally on a myriad of projects throughout his safety journey, from high-rise construction, pharmaceutical labs and clinics, hospitals, schools, theme parks, fuel depots, and environmental sites across the United States.
John holds an MA from Webster University and a BA from Colorado Christian University.
John holds NASP’s Safety Professional Certificate (SPC) and Certified Safety Manager Construction Certificate (CSMC) credentials. He holds five BCSP credentials: (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), and Certified Environmental Trainer (CET) ).
Brian Fuller
Knowledge and Skills Committee Vice Chair
Mr. Brian Fuller is the Director of Safety and Health at KGPCo. He has over 19 years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field, with expertise in telecommunications, construction, commercial diving, and crane industries.
Brian holds NASP’s Master Safety Professional (MSP)® certification. His additional credentials include, Certified Chemical Safety Technician, Certified Rigging/Signaling Instructor, Certified Environmental Health and Safety Management Specialist, and Hazard Analysis Technician. Brian was honored with the title of Corporate Trainer of the Year by Crane and Rigging Hotline Magazine in October 2012.
Donovon Krebs
Mr. Donovon Krebs is the Regional EHS Manager at Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. He boasts over 15 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and safety program development. His career reflects a consistent dedication to enhancing workplace safety, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of health and well-being while leading cross-functional teams, implementing effective training programs, and aligning safety objectives with organizational goals to achieve optimal results.
Donovan is pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety at Columbia Southern University. He graduated with certifications in HVAC and Plumbing from Sun Area Technical Institute, which includes specialized systems, i.e., Med Gas and Propane Lines.
Donovan holds NASP’s Master Safety Professional (MSP)® certification. He holds two BCSP credentials: Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT). His additional credentials include OSHA 500 Trainer, National Firefighter 1, CPR/First Aid BLS Instructor, EM 385 Instructor, and Certified Incident Management Leader.
Dr. I. David Daniels
Dr. I. David Daniels is an occupational health and safety professional, former public safety executive, thought leader, and Founder/CEO of ID2 Solutions, LLC, a safety-focused solutions company specializing in helping organizations plan and execute safety management systems, including focusing on psychosocial hazard mitigation strategies. He’s also the host of the Psych Health and Safety USA podcast.
Dr. Daniels holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Services Administration, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, and a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety. He attended the Senior Executive in State and Local Government at Harvard University and holds a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University.
Dr. Daniels holds NASP’s Certified Safety Director (CSD)® certification, as well as the Workplace Violence Prevention Specialist (VPS), Emergency Management Specialist (SEM), and Job Hazard Analysis Specialist (JHA) credentials. He is certified in Mental Health First Aid and is a Safety and Health Specialist.
Dr. Daniels is the founding chair of the National Association of Black Compliance and Risk Management Professionals, Safety and Security Workgroup. He is the Vice Chair of the Society for Total Worker Health Advisory Panel. Dr. Daniels served two terms as a member of the National Safety Council (NSC) Board of Directors and was the founding chair of the NSC’s Government and Public-Sector Division. In 2021, he became only the third African American in history to receive the NSC’s highest honor when he was given the Distinguished Service to Safety Award.
Dr. Daniels is a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) and has served over 30 years in fire/rescue, emergency medical, and emergency management organizations in three states, including four appointments as a Fire Chief. He was the founding chair of the IAFC Safety, Health, and Survival Section and the first safety representative on the IAFC Board of Directors. His career-long focus on safety was one of the factors that led to him becoming the first living African American to be inducted into the National Fire Heritage Center’s Hall of Legacies, Legends, and Leaders.
Erick Rathgaber
Mr. Erick Rathgaber is the Safety Coordinator at Parkview Health with over 15 years in safety and environmental risk management, encompassing military aviation and healthcare, committed to advancing workplace safety and compliance. Erick has spearheaded numerous safety compliance initiatives and undertaken comprehensive risk assessments to align with organizational objectives. Erick’s proficiency in hazard mitigation and regulatory compliance has been instrumental in attaining excellence in environmental health and safety management. His adeptness in prioritizing workloads, fostering effective communication, and employing critical thinking has consistently contributed to enhancing safety protocols beyond regulatory benchmarks. He brings a robust foundation encompassing both theoretical and applied facets of safety and health management to his role as a seasoned Safety Specialist.
Erick holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute of Technology. He is pursuing his Doctor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health at Columbia Southern University. Erick holds NASP’s Master Safety Professional (MSP)® certification, the Safety Director Certificate (SDC), and Certified Safety Manager Certificate (CSM) credentials.
John O’Connor
Mr. John O’Connor has over 30 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Emergency Services and Public Safety. He is currently the Senior Safety Specialist for Avangrid’s (NYSEG) electrical and natural gas network’s operation in Southeastern New York. Prior to working in the utility industry, John most recently served as the Director of Emergency Management for the County of Putnam, NY.
John has a BA from American Military University in Emergency & Disaster Management and is a graduate of the FEMA Emergency Management Institute’s National Academy.
John holds NASP’s Master Safety Professional (MSP)® certification. He holds BCSP’s Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential. His additional credentials include IAEM’s Certified Emergency Manager, ASIS International’s Certified Protection Professional and Physical Security Professional, and the New York State Association of Towns Certified Town Official credentials. In addition, John holds the National Board of Fire Service Professional Qualifications credentials as a Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, and Fire Officer II.
Hollis Grady Jr.
Mr. Hollis Grady Jr. is an Environmental Health and Safety Manager, safety consultant, and founder of Genesis Safety Support Management. Hollis retired from the U.S. Army after 24 distinguished years of service, where he was promoted to different management and safety positions. Over the last two decades, he has continued to utilize his valuable experience in the private and public sectors, currently working as the Senior Auditor for EHS Global Assurance.
Hollis holds NASP’s Certified Safety Manager Certificate(CSM) and Certified Safety Manager Construction Certificate (CSMC) credentials. His military and civilian certifications include the Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, OSHA 500 Trainer and 501 Trainer, FEMA Emergency Management Program Development, Compliance Safety and Health Officer, and Certified Internal Auditor.
Byron R. Andres
Mr. Byron R. Andres is a professional construction and safety manager with over forty years of experience for global engineering construction companies, including major projects for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Byron holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Ashford University.
Byron holds NASP’s Master Safety Professional (MSP)® certification. He holds two BCSP credentials: Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and Safety Training Supervisor Construction (STSC). Byron is HAZWOPER Certified, an OSHA 500 Trainer, and a Qualified Rigging Trainer. Byron currently serves as Safety Manager for Envirocon, where he lives and works according to his motto, “Be Safe to Live – Live to be Safe.”
