Leading the way in workplace safety training

NASP initially offered workplace safety in-house training on a contract basis to business and industry, train-the-trainer courses for safety professionals, specialized training for those responsible for OSHA compliance and safety in the workplace, and consultative services to business and industry. Independent study courses were developed to allow those who could not attend classroom courses to still receive NASP training. NASP now provides professional certifications, classroom training, online training, site-specific training as well as a full array of safety and environmental consulting services.

NASP differentiates ourselves from our competitors with our style of training. We truly have been the innovators in the NASP Method of EHS Training which emphasizes androgogical (training adults) methodologies for interactive and dynamic training that stimulates student interaction and ensures knowledge retention. Training is available for general industry, construction, oil and gas, and governmental agencies.

You already know that NASP sets the standard for safety training and certification, but what you might not know is that we offer a variety of other solutions and services for your company. Our on-site training services send one of our instructors to your facility to perform onsite training tailored to your specific needs. We also provide mock OSHA inspections and a variety of other consulting services. Follow the link below to find out more.

Industry, business, and government workplace safety programs are often based on one of three viewpoints:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Concerned with avoiding fines and citations, basing their safety decisions solely upon existing safety regulations.
  • Monetary Savings: Primarily concerned with reducing their cost from employee injury, illness, and death.
  • Ethics: Concerned with doing whatever is necessary, right, and proper to provide a safe workplace and a desire to protect their employees from injury and death.

Actually, all three are legitimate concerns with number three being our driving force. Whatever goals you have for your safety training program, NASP can help you reach them. Contact us today and let our knowledgeable and helpful staff guide you to the solution that works best for you.

8 Principles of Workplace Safety

A properly managed safety culture will produce employees who participate actively, identify potential hazards, and feel a responsibility for their safety and the safety of others. Accepting safety as an ethical responsibility establishes the foundation for an effective safety culture.

  1. Safety is an
    Ethical Responsibility.
  2. Safety is a Culture,
    Not a Program.
  3. Management is Responsible.
  4. Employees Must Be
    Trained to Work Safely.
  5. Safety is a Condition
    of Employment.
  6. All Injuries Are Preventable.
  7. Safety Programs Must
    Be Site Specific.
  8. Safety is Good Business.

Continue teaching in this manner. I have taken a lot of adult learning courses and am a Workforce Educator with a BS in Workforce Education, Training and Development and this has been by far the best offered/delivery method (I’ve) seen. Great job with Andragogy.
