You will lead environment compliance activities, and assure the facility adheres to environmental regulations. You can also use your skills to provide key insight on operations at the plant to reduce costs, and improve environmental impact

About You:

MS or MA in environmental, health, safety, chemistry, engineering and/or other related fields. CSP, OHST, CEP, CIH, CHMM, etc.
6+ years of EH&S experience
Thorough knowledge of state and federal EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations
Thorough knowledge and experience with ISO EH&S standards, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to relate across all organizational levels
Strong experience and proven ability in developing and delivering EH&S e-learning and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Ability to identify and deploy software solutions for EH&S related programs
Strong proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify site specific environmental, health and safety programs designed to meet federal, state, local and JSR requirements. Supervise their development, implementation, and/or maintenance
Monitor legislative changes and emerging issues and respond to them by planning and executing corresponding actions and projects
Incorporate EHS matrix into business planning and establish EHS as a business and management performance measure
Be the EHS information champion internally and externally. Represent JSR and/or the industry in forums and consortiums.
Lead accident/incident investigation and preventative measures
Lead the identification, development, scheduling and delivery of EHS training
Monitor JSR’s hazard inspections and corrections and analyze the trend
Organize and oversee JSR’s CSR reports and projects
Manage ISO audits and improvements to maintain the certificates for safety and environmental standards
Be a mentor for the Engineering 1, 2 and 3 employees and interns
Supervise hazard communication program for customer/user safety and stewardship
Makes suggestions to management for improving this position, or improving work processes
Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions or actions to the management
Other duties as may be assigned
