Who we are:
Paragon Safety Group provides safety services to construction a clients throughout the Eastern US. Headquartered in Raleigh, we provide workplace safety training, consulting, and on-site safety professionals to help our clients keep their jobsites safe.What we need:
Paragon Safety Group has open safety positions at construction jobsites across North Carolina, and is seeking safety professionals who might fill these positions in the role of On-Site Safety Specialist.

Wake, Durham, Chatham, Harnett, Johnston & Gilford counties are encouraged to apply!

Our positions are temporary W-2 positions with full-time hours (often shifts are 8 to 10 hours per day, and some jobs will offer the potential for significant overtime). In these jobs, you’d work on the construction site, coaching workers to ensure the safe operations on behalf of the Paragon client, either a site owner, general contractor, or specialty subcontractor.

Project Durations: from 3 months to 3 years

The person will identify and correct unsafe working conditions, conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Job Duties of the On-Site Safety Specialist

Perform regular site safety audits and prepare formal audit reports using our preferred software, called Safety Reports
Coach employees on-site to use safe work practices, in compliance with federal guidelines and company regulations.
Monitor the performance of safety critical tasks. Work with the Contractor to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
Represent the client’s best interest related to site health and safety at all times.
Report safety incidents and conduct investigations when deemed necessary.
Conduct Safety Orientation for personnel as needed.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with charisma and great communication skills, with construction safety management experience, and who is excited to be involved in the effort to keep people safe at work.

The successful candidate has:

A current, unexpired safety credential higher than the OSHA 30: this could include OSHA 500, CSP, CHST, ASP, GSP, or a relevant college degree (Required)
Up-to-date First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in jobs with 100% of time managing construction site safety (required)
Great communication skills (required)
Fluent in both Spanish and English (desired)
