Hand and Portable Power Tools Course

Hand and Portable Power Tools Course:

Thousands of injuries occur each year on construction sites, as well as in general industry due to improper use of or defective tools. OSHA is explicit in its regulations on proper inspection and maintenance of hand and power tools. This course will provide the student with an understanding of those regulations and knowledge of the appropriate means to repair or remove these tools from the worksite. Course includes pictures of compromised tools, unsafe work practices and tool inspection checklists. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.

Online Exams:

The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
