Combustible Dust Course

Combustible Dust Course:

Dust explosions in the workplace have killed many unsuspecting employees. Most dusts can become explosive based on concentration, particle size and ignition source. These types of explosions can occur in a variety of industries including grain, sugar, automotive, coal and pharmaceutical. This course will help the student identify dust hazards and introduce them to testing methodologies, as well as appropriate ways to minimize or eliminate dust hazards through engineering and administrative controls. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.

Online Exams:

The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.

Recertification:

A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $95.
