Arc Flash Course
Working on or near live electrical circuits can be dangerous due to electrocution, arc flash and arc blast. This course is a must for anyone who works on or around any electrically energized equipment at industrial plants, utilities or commercial and private building facilities. From machine operators and janitorial personnel, to maintenance workers and experienced electricians - anyone who comes in contact with electrical equipment must receive Electrical Safety training to be in compliance with the requirements of OSHA standard CFR 1910.331-.335m, as well as NFPA 70E. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $95.
