The NASP

The National Association of Safety Professionals is a non-profit organization founded by Thomas and Jennifer Hardin to provide third-party certifications that validate knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of workplace safety. The National Association of Safety Professionals was created by the non-profit International Association of Safety Professionals, which is approved by the United Nations as a NGO in Roster Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council and is working to improve workplace safety world wide.

In accordance with the NASP's eight principles of a safe workplace and safety philosophy, the primary objectives of the National Association of Safety Professionals are: The mission of the National Association of Safety Professionals is to provide safety professionals, many of who have other professional responsibilities and may not have a college degree in the field of safety, with innovative training opportunities and certification to assist them in carrying out their safety related functions with confidence while assuring a high level of competence.

NASP certifications are accepted in 42 countries world wide and by the US federal government, state and local governments and major industries.
